Our installers aren't code-signed yet (it's coming soon), so your OS may show a caution screen the first time you open the app. This is expected — the download is safe and served only from computehive.net. Here's how to get past it in a few seconds.
🍎 macOS
If you see "ComputeHive is damaged" or "unidentified developer":
- Open Applications, right-click (or Control-click) ComputeHive, and choose Open.
- Click Open in the dialog. You only need to do this once.
Still says "damaged"? Run this in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ComputeHive.app
🪟 Windows
If Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC":
- Click More info.
- Click Run anyway to start the installer.
This appears because the app isn't code-signed yet — it's on the way.

16 GB+ (24 GB recommended)
Everything above, plus video generation and Flux.
Premium pay rate
Minimum to join: an NVIDIA GPU with at least 6 GB VRAM (CUDA), or an Apple Silicon Mac (LLM jobs only). A stable internet connection (~10 Mbps up) and reasonable uptime help you earn more.

How To Get Started

Install the Node App
Download and run the installer for your OS. The setup wizard walks you through connecting your GPU to the network.

Stay Connected
The daemon runs in the background and only accepts jobs when your node is marked available — you stay in control.

Earn Credits
Credits accumulate per completed job based on GPU tier and compute time. Use them for your own AI jobs on the network.
Remove a Node
Want to stop providing? Run the uninstaller for your OS. It stops the background service, removes ComputeHive and its downloaded models, and leaves Ollama and Python in place. (A copy also sits in your install folder.)
